Youngstown Trust Lawyer Selected as Presenter in National Webinar for Advisors of Oil & Gas Lessors

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – George P. Millich, Jr., a Youngstown trust attorney and member at Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell, Ltd., will be one of the two presenting lawyers at an upcoming national webinar for advisors of landowners with oil and gas income.
The webinar, sponsored by the National Business Institute, will be webcast on March 24 from NBI’s offices in Eau Claire, Wis. It is approved for continuing education credits for lawyers and financial planners in more than 40 U.S. states and territories.
Millich will address three topics: royalty taxation, trust structuring and the use of corporate entities to protect assets.
Among the content for his presentations will be discussion of three oil and gas issues that are often raised by landowners and general practice lawyers:
- Taxation of different types of lease payments.
- Planning techniques for passing oil and gas interests to family members.
- Protection of oil and gas assets.
Matthew Carl of Blumling & Gusky in Pittsburgh will discuss estate planning, valuation, estate administration and ethics.

Millich joined re-joined in 2011 HHM after nine years as a trust attorney with PNC Bank and its predecessor, National City Bank, and a previous stint with the law firm. His practice areas include estate planning, probate administration, tax law and business succession planning.
Millich is president-elect of the Mahoning County Bar Association and a board member and former president of the Mahoning/Shenango Valley Estate Planning Council. He is also a member of the boards of the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. and the Mahoning County Law Library Association. He lives in Austintown.
