WARREN, Ohio — Matthew M. Ries, an employment and civil litigation lawyer with the Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell, Ltd. law firm, has been named to the Ohio Super Lawyers “Rising Star” list for the second straight year.

The “Rising Star” distinction recognizes lawyers under age 40 who have practiced law for less than 10 years. No more than 2.5 percent of Ohio lawyers earn this honor.

The list is distributed to more than 43,000 lawyers throughout the Buckeye State and will be published in the January editions of Inside Business, Cleveland Magazine, Columbus Monthly and Cincinnati Magazine.

Ries was recognized in the area of Employee Litigation Defense. He also practices in the areas of Corporate, Commercial and Business Law.

Ries, a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Farmer School of Business at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a juris doctor from the Capital University Law School in Columbus.
